First appearances of the toy.

This figure, the Wonder Bread He-Man, began to appear on the second-hand market and soon became a kind of holy grail because he was a rare figure because no one knew where it came from. At first it was thought that it could be a bootleg or a customization. Later, having ruled that out, it began to be rumored that they could have been signs of when Mattel was preparing to create the line of figures for the film Conan the Barbarian (1982), whose abandonment ended up giving way to the development of Masters of the Universe. Or that it was a variant made in some other country that would have taken certain licenses when manufacturing some He-Man figures. About its distribution, it was rumored that it was a figure that was given away in a promotion of the Wonder Bread brand - like our Pan Bimbo - and hence that first name. In fact, when the Masters of The Universe Classics line came out and a figure was created from it, it was given the name Wun-Dar, as a nod to that first name, that of Wonder Bread He-Man

Story of Wun-Dar:

The Lost Legend (The Story of

Wun-Dar).

One hundred years before Prince Adam was born, Wun-dar, a warrior deep in the wild underground city of Tundaria, rescued a young woman who turned out to be The Goddess of Eternia. She provided him with cosmic battle armor and a sophisticated ray gun that could harness almost unlimited power. The Goddess commissioned Wundar to protect both halves of His sword and keep them separate so that they would not fall into the hands of evil. Like many warriors before him, Wun-dar became known as, the He-Man, fighting in a wild way to prevent evil from obtaining the key to the great power hidden inside the forgotten Castle Grayskull

.

This is the first time we have seen a story dedicated to Wun-Dar in a comic book, this comic is historic and worth considering because it is the first to present the character in this format, let's see what this story tells us. The mini comic is called the lost legend and we see that on the cover it shows us a Wun-Dar facing a cyclops ogre while Sharella is trapped by two skeleton warriors, the comic opens in Wild Eternia 100 years before the birth of Prince Adam and takes us to the underground village called Tundaria where people live in peace and harmony thanks to the warrior Wun-Dar, on this page we see a vignette that pays homage to the ancient myth that Wun-Dar was born from a promotion of Wun-Dar break, which we don't already know. It was like that in the cartoon we see to Wun-Dar eating bread and saying that square bread or sliced bread will be the best for a long time suddenly a scream is heard and Wun-Dar runs to

help

we see that a woman is being attacked by skeleton warriors Wun-Dar confronts them and saves the woman. The woman presents herself with kindness and mentions that her name is Sharella, she is lost and asks the wild warrior for help. Wun-Dar sees the map of Sharella and apparently it's the map of the mystical mountains, he decides to help her and protect her from the dangers of the wild world and he also wants to find out why those demons attacked his home and that's how they begin their

adventure.

During his journey, Wun-Dar became both a guardian and a teacher for Sharella. Sharella notices the potential that Wun-Dar has while eating, Wun-Dar was on guard during the night, although he was a hero, Wun-Dar was still a mortal Sharella screams for help and Wun-Dar runs to help her again, the skeleton warriors attack them again, Wun-Dar asks them who their teacher is and why some pods have come, attack the skeletons and Sharella is saved, and we see that it was Moss-Man who appears before them and tells them that this forest has been their home for a long time, Wun-Dar He explains to Moss-Man that they are looking for passage through the Mystical mountains he decides to help us and thus show them the way many days go by and at last our warriors arrive at their destination thanks to the help of Moss-Man. Wun-Dar and Sharella climb the mountain that seems endless until they finally find the marks on the map at the entrance, as well as with the earring hanging from the skeleton warriors, our heroes decide to enter, but inside the cave a creature is stalking them by a huge, single-eyed

ogre.
He

roars loudly sending Wun-dar shot through the air against the rock wall of the cave and his spear breaks. Suddenly an armor appears out of nowhere floating in front of the Wun-Dar, while Sharella confronts the ogre alone and demands that he walk away, a shot from behind defeats the great creature. Wun-Dar shot him like a laser beam and mentions the creature you've already heard the girl. Sharella answers her I'm not a girl I'm a goddess and we see her transform into Green-Goddes in front of Wun-Dar, Green-Goddes tells Wun-Dar that a dark evil has returned while she holds the head of a ram in Skeletor's staff she tells her that she has been looking for someone worthy of power to carry those weapons of the ancestors and stop evil she mentions to Wun-Dar that he now has the power and that's how Wun-Dar was selected by Sharella the Green-Goddes to be guardian of

LORDS OF POWER

The first time i heard of the lords of power exclusive, i imagined that it would be another package that would pass by in my collection. many of these firsts are subject to sale only at conventions (power con) or toy fairs (comic con, toy fair), but to the surprise of many and perhaps due to the pandemic scourge of that year, this exclusive was put on sale at one of the largest online toy stores: bigbadtoystore. without going into price details, we just remember that for the pre-sale of that little package, a non-refundable deposit of more or less 29 dollars had to be made, after that, to wait. masters of the universe fans were very excited to have an exclusive so close at hand, just one click away and that's it. this five-figure package was announced in 2019 as exclusive to power con 2020, but the health conditions resulting from covid-19 meant that the convention was held virtually. both the five-figure set and the she-ra exclusive one (with curly hair) could be ordered online on the power con website and at the aforementioned online toy store (bbts). in 2017, a series of images appeared, incredible shots of what until then were the prototypes of master of the universe, which were called “lords of power”. the images were shared by andy youssi (son of john youssi). andy's father takes those prototypes home and this is his experience: hold on to your seats for this, but after these slides, mattel sent the prototypes to my dad for a month so that i could illustrate the characters and castle grayskull in detail for some of the promotional posters and display shelves placed in the toy stores. my introduction to loving masters of the universe was seeing and falling in love with those lords of power prototypes as a 5-year-old boy, before the public knew what it all was! i think the saddest day of my childhood was when my dad's illustration work finished and he had to pack the prototypes and send them back to mattel... but that month with them made me a fan for life even before they hit the stores! one of the most exciting feelings i had was the anticipation of its launch in stores and the construction of the collection again.
